Staff positions at Cole Veterinary Hospital in Spring, TX
Receptionist: This position is the most important position on our team and is responsible for scheduling the doctor’s appointments, boarding appointments, and all drop-offs. All aspects of the client experience are championed from this role. Answering phones with a smile, checking clients in and out, handling client communication, faxing, emailing and filing all are handled by this team. We utilize Rapport to communicate directly with clients throughout the day via email, text and other means. While understanding technology is important, being warm and friendly is most important! Our receptionist team is responsible for the end of day accounting process. It is important that a receptionist has a good understanding of basic veterinary medicine including wellness examinations, vaccinations and diet consultation. Computer skills in AVImark, data entry and accounting are all essential tasks. Our receptionists are talented, skilled and charming people who really truly care!
Veterinary Technician: This position is the work horse of our hospital. Our technicians are talented, and they use their knowledge and skill sets every single day! We challenge our veterinary technician team to utilize their skills to efficiently care for our patients. They receive the clients and pets who are here for exams and rechecks by getting the history and information for the veterinarian. They must be knowledgeable of current vaccination and treatment protocols. This position is also heavily involved in patient diagnostic work-ups and treatments including ultrasound guided cystocentesis, blood collection, catheter placement, radiography, dentistry and ICU hospitalization. This is a very client and patient focused role and requires a person who likes people as well as pets!
Kennel Tech Assistant: This position is essential to our team! Our kennel tech assistants have been a part of our team for years. They care for the animals and have a tremendous work ethic. They are here early, and they often stay late taking care of the animals and assisting the technicians. They must be confident with their restraint of animals while having a gentle hand and voice. Good customer service skills are a must because our kennel tech assistants as they are often interacting directly with our clients.
